Terms and conditions of carriage
- “Adult” refers to any person over the age of 16 years of age, “Child” refers to any person aged 5 years of age to 15 years of age inclusive, “Infant” refers to any person aged 0 to 4 years of age inclusive. Any accompanied infant will travel free of charge.
- “Bristol International Flyer” is the trading name for the coach service that operates between Bristol International Airport and the City of Bristol. This trading name is owned by Bristol International Airport Ltd, but the service is operated on behalf of the airport by First Coaches Bristol.
- “Luggage” means any item of luggage accompanied by a passenger, on the coach, or carried on behalf of the passenger in the luggage compartment of the coach, unaccompanied luggage will not be carried.
- “Carriage” means the transport of passengers and luggage by coach to a point of destination of the coach, in return for the correct payment of the fare due.
- “Coach” means the “Bristol International Flyer” coach or vehicle used on the 330/331 service.
- “Fare” means the current price of a ticket.
- “Ticket” means the ticket issued to passengers, for carriage on the coach service.
- “Passenger” means a person to whom a ticket is issued for carriage on the coach service.
- Entry to the coach may be refused, if the appropriate fare is not paid, or the appropriate authorisation is not produced.
- First Coaches Bristol will use its best endeavours to carry the luggage safely and securely, but assumes no liability for any loss, damage or theft to any luggage whilst it is in its possession, nor any consequences arising from the loss, damage or theft to the luggage, including any fragile luggage.
- Your luggage shall be at your risk at all times, and First Coaches Bristol will only be liable for any loss, damage or theft to your luggage caused by our negligence. Our maximum liability to you for any loss, damage or theft to your luggage, whether for breach of contract, breach of any duty of care in relation to your luggage, our negligence, or any deliberate or negligent acts of any of our employees, agents or representatives, shall be limited to GBP300 (Three hundred pounds Sterling) for all such loss, damage or theft. You should insure your luggage with reputable insurers against all usual/unusual and normal risks of loss, damage or theft to the full replacement value of the luggage with no excess.
- In the event of any claim, as proof of purchase, and carriage, no claim shall be entered into or any liability admitted unless your ticket/s accompany your claim.
- First Coaches Bristol reserve the right to dispose of any luggage left on a coach in any manner we so wish, 1 (one) month and 1 (one) day after it has been logged in to our Lost Property register, unless it is perishable, in which event we will dispose of it 48 hours after receiving it.
- First Coaches Bristol reserves the right to refuse the carriage of anyone or any luggage, where it is deemed necessary in the interest of safety.
- The times shown on the Bristol International Flyer timetables are not guaranteed, and First Coaches Bristol, assumes no responsibility for conveying passengers within any particular time period, nor for making flight, rail or bus/coach connections. Schedules are subject to change, without notice for operational/other reasons.
- Seat belts are provided on all our coaches, and passengers are advised to wear them for their own safety.
- All coaches on the Bristol International Flyer service are NON-SMOKING.
- All passengers are requested not to cause any nuisance to other passengers or the driver, and to follow the directions of the driver at all times. First Coaches Bristol reserves the right to remove any passenger causing a disturbance or nuisance on the coach via the appropriate authority.
- Blind passengers will be carried free of charge at all times, also assistance dogs (i.e. Guide and Hearing dogs) will be carried free of charge at all times.
- First Coaches Bristol does not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, nor where you deal as a consumer exclude your statutory rights.
- The following items are prohibited luggage, and will not be permitted carriage:
Bicycles (unless folded and protectively packed)
Animals, live or dead, other than those stated in Paragraph 19
Weapons
Drugs or solvents (other than medicines)
Battery powered wheelchairs/scooters
Non folding prams/pushchairs
Or any other item First Coaches deem to be unsuitable, unsafe, or hazardous to other passenger’s luggage, or to the safety of the vehicle if carried.
- Payment for the correct fare will be accepted in cash only, with either Sterling currency or Euros. Euros should be tendered as the correct amount, as change cannot be issued.
- No agent, employee, or representative of First Coaches has the authority to modify, alter, or waive any provision of these terms and conditions of travel.
- The Concessionary Fares Scheme applies to residents of Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
- A Student Discount applies to local area students on production of one of the following forms of photographic identification: Bristol University ID Card, University of West of England ID Card, Bath University ID Card, Bath Spa University ID Card.
- Return tickets are valid for one calendar month only.
- Online Booking amendments may be subject to charge.
- All online bookings are non refundable.
